The Market Porter is most definitely a real ale pub, with beers changing up to nine times a day.  The Market Porter enjoys an attractive setting in a historic district of London – the Borough Market, so much so that the pub was transformed into the 'Third Hand Book Emporium' in the film 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban', and was situated next to 'The Leaky Cauldron'! Nearby attractions include Vinopolis, Southwark Cathedral, The Globe Theatre and the London Dungeon.

Inside after a recent refurbishment offers rustic wooden floors and a traditional décor. Upstairs there is an attractive restaurant serving good quality lunches and evening meals, whilst downstairs at the bar there is a vast array of real ales which are well-kept and always served with a smile.

Monday to Friday: 6am - 8:30am & 11am to 11pm
Saturday: 12noon - 11pm
Sunday: 12noon - 10:30pm

Restaurant/Bar Food Opening Times

The restaurant is open:
Monday to Thursday: 12noon - 3pm
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 12noon - 5pm

Bar Food is served:
Monday to Friday: 12noon - 3pm
Sunday: 12noon - 5pm
(There is no bar food served on Saturday, but our restaurant is open as per the above times)

	The First Floor Restaurant can seat 40 persons and there is also an upstairs bar in the Restaurant, there is standing room for 60 – 70 people for buffet functions.
	We can cater for all functions - birthdays, anniversaries, wedding receptions, christenings, leaving parties, and all Corporate Events.
