The Market Porter is most definitely a real ale pub, with up to nine traditional ales constantly changing, its a "beer festival" every day of the week. The Market Porter enjoys an attractive setting in a historic district of London – the Borough Market, so much so that the pub was transformed into the 'Third Hand Book Emporium' in the film 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban', and was situated next to 'The Leaky Cauldron'! Nearby attractions include Vinopolis, Southwark Cathedral, The Globe Theatre and the London Dungeon.

Inside after a recent refurbishment offers rustic wooden floors and a traditional décor. Upstairs there is an attractive restaurant serving good quality lunches.

Ale at The Market Porter
Restaurant The First Floor Restaurant can seat 40 persons and there is also an upstairs bar in the Restaurant, there is standing room for 60 – 70 people for buffet functions. Function Rooms We can cater for all functions - birthdays, anniversaries, wedding receptions, christenings, leaving parties, and all Corporate Events.
